I don't live in a dorm. But going to school full time and riding the bus doesn't really help.

My laptop currently is on the fritz because of a DLL error I caused a while ago, and now my bro's comp is from a deletion of something or another having to do with startup and startup repair can't find anything. It sucks because it won't let me get onto the main screen. . .

WTF? Lately my computer has decided that it's going to not only try and update after I turn automatic updates off, but it will fail to update...and won't let me disable automatic updates, even though I'm only EVER using the admin account...seeing as there's only the admin account on the computer....it bugs me. D|

It's a conspiracy! Very Happy

I need to defrag more often and clean out the crap I don't use, I'm sure my computer would run much faster if I did that. So far this one hasn't given me any problems, I'm keeping my fingers crossed. This is my second laptop, my husband is on his third.

Does anyone know of any good cheap virus protection (or even free) we need to put some on my daughter's computer.

I completely advocate avast. |D You can get the home edition for free, and it runs quietly in the background, picks up everything...I love it. |DD

I just cleaned up some of my files last month...got rid of over 400 things, and I've still got thousands that I'm not deleting for various reasons. XD

I have used both AVG and Avira with good results on the free versions. Avira is out of Europe and the only thing annoying about them is that they want you to sign up for the full version alot.

I was suggested to not do that till the bases have changed and I know how all the items will look on them. @_@ I had thought it would happen after two or so months after I joined, but now I am starting to consider I really might need to get about amking it so I can keep at least SOME activity here.

Butbut right now I have to go to sleep. Good night, Spork Queen and I shall try to return tomorrow.
